I had hoped you could add an intro video (as mentioned in their advertisement) by dragging it in before the menu icon, but as you found out, that doesn't work. Like you, I just got the program yesterday, so it's all a matter of trial and error for now. I REALLY appreciate the time you took to answer all my queries.
#Roxio toast upgrade#
If these capabilities exist, I haven't found them yet but then again, I only got the program upgrade yesterday. I've posted plenty of "pissed off owners of Corel Roxio Toast" but please remember, this is the first version they have released with custom menus and I'm sure they won't put it thru the paces like the users will.ģ- As for subtitles, additional audio etc, you're looking for features that used to exist in DVD Studio from Apple and other higher end programs. As for removing text, have you selected it and then hit the delete key? I don't know if that will work either (DIDN"T WORK EITHER). I'm not sure what you're looking for on this one. DIDN"T WORK)Ģ- The video thumbnails will play the video that is for that added file. I haven't really played with this feature but when I do, I'll post about it. Hi Pat, I don't work for Roxio but I'll try and help as much as I can.ġ- You'll need to do this ALL in NEW LAYOUT and I seem to remember where I was able to add a video by dragging it to the left of the little menu icon. It looks like a nice program, but they leave you in the cold as far as instructions are concerned. I fear if it were anything like the user guide for the previous version, it would not cover any of this anyway. I like to think I can figure this stuff out, but so far I am struggling and the website doesn't have a downloadable user guide as of yet.
Any help along these lines would be wonderful. (3) And finally (for now) I don't see any way to add extras like subtitles, additional audio tracks, or audio formats.

Additionally, I don't see how to make the text (if it's a video name) act as a button. I also don't see how to remove the text (they say to choose a theme without test, but there aren't any) and I don't see how to have no thumbnails at all. I can only seem to choose an option with 2 thumbnails. (2) When I change the background and such on the menu page, I don't see an option for a single video to be displayed with a thumbnail. (1) They mention in the sales pitch that you can have an intro video play before the menu comes up, but for the life of me I can't see how to do that. I have played with it enough to "kind of" get the idea of changing the menus to my liking, but I have plenty of questions I fear won't be answered in their help files.
#Roxio toast pro#
I just reluctantly purchased Toast 20 Pro in hopes that it might have these features. I have been looking far and wide for a Blu-Ray burning program that allows for custom menus and additional features like director commentary, and an intro video that plays before the main menu.
I am new here but hope I can get some wonderful tips. If Corel would allow custom menu import into Classic Mode, THAT WOULD BE GREAT, OKAY! I will continue to learn about the "new mode" when I need custom menus, otherwise I'll keep using "Classic Mode" where I can have more control. It seems to me that Corel must have actually hired someone to work on Toast that knows something about creating video discs because the program seems much smoother in it's operation than any other version since Corel destroyed Toast after they bought Roxio. About Time it got fixed!ġ- Can't create custom menus in Classic Mode where we can better control the burning processĢ- When you load a video, the filesize isn't showing the file's actual size based on the bit rate and there's no control over the bit rate.ģ- It seems in "New Mode" it wants to encode everything and it took 21 minutes to burn a 3.8GB file to a toast disc image
#Roxio toast software#
This looks like a great addition to the software and it has very good editing capabilities from what I've seen so far.Ģ- Looks like Corel fixed the problem in Classic Mode where you clicked on Edit one of the video's and it would NOT display the video so you could accurately set beginning/end of the clip.
